The last few days have been a pain in the ass for me.. not literally thank god, but well...ya know.
Turns out I have an ear infection in my right ear. I would rather have a tooth drilled without novacaine. These things put me down for a while. I had them really bad when I was little, I had an awful one at 16 in the same ear that put me out of school for a week. I have been carrying some fever with this one..nothing over 100.5 by thermometer, but I have been told I look "rough" or that I really don't look like I feel well. I feel ok, except this pain in the ear..I feel warm/hot to the touch. Then when I check the temp its nearly normal, which is kinda weird.
Before that took hold of me...Sunday I went to Michelle's son Garrett's 4th bday party. Was pretty funny to watch his reaction to his gifts. "MY SPIDERMAN!!! MY CARS!!!" etc. Didn't show any signs of being shy as usual. I think he has found himself...lol Nice to see him break out of that mold. He made out pretty well. I may snag some pics from it from his moms blog or myspace to post here....of course if thats ok with her. LoL Lots of food..an awesome cake...and "The Creature Teacher" who cares for some "exotic pets" which she brought to show the kids.
Not sure that I can remember the names of all of them...but I'm going to try. Chinchilla, Freckled Ghecko (sp), walking stick, Blue Tongued Skink(lizard), there was another bigger lizard that looked like a huge horny toad, but not as round....I can't remember the name of that one. Some sort of python, not a lil one either it was about 5 ft long..non poisonous, no fangs or venom. Pretty cool...there may have been one or 2 more, but I have slept since then. I do remember than when she was done telling them about the animals that she gave Garrett a chance to choose a couple of animals to hold for a picture. He chose the python...which he handle actually pretty well. The other was the Chinchilla, which moved a lil more than he would have liked...I think he liked the snake better...lol
Michelle say's, "Oh my god, my son is holding a snake!!! He's givin me a heart attack!" Was too cute tho. Kids had fun jumpin around in the bouncy house..we all visited for a bit...and went home.
My night didn't end there tho...I ended up going over to Amanda's and playing some Rock Band 2....oh yeah...I am addicted. I love the guitars, need to get more practicing on the drums...hardly ever sing...although, I would probably do fine...kinda the stage fright thing...lol Went home after Greg went to work, he stopped by Amanda's on the way out so I could tell him bye and give him a kiss...and I nearly fell out of the truck, his is 3 inches taller off the ground than mine.
Anyway...made it home and went to bed.
Monday I went to the Dr and she prescribed me some antibios for my ear and also some drops for the pain. The drops I had to wait an extra day for due to the fact that there is a new law in place when the pharmacy doesn't have any brand medication and the generics are not "A or B rated" they actually have to call and have the Dr verify that it is ok to give a generic form....How retarded is that? Even tho, right there on the prescription it says "generic substituion is permitted" Blah...
I finally got the drops yesterday....and hopefully they will start doing the job they are supposed to. As well as the antibiotics. The right side of my face around my ear is pretty puffy, somewhat swollen. So ya...working is not as much fun as it normally is. LoL.
Tuesday after picking up the drops I went home, put on some comfortable clothes, and laid down in bed next to my husband....he is working overnights. Well, it didnt take long for me to drift off to sleep..that was 5pm, and I didn't get up until almost 9. So, then my normal sleep schedule was off.
I still made it to work this morning. I'll be pickin up the lil darlin's at school today. I will have them this weekend....would like to go to Oklahoma with the rest of the family...don't know if I will have the gas money tho. Oh well...we shall see.
I'll get back to this later. LoL
