Monster Blog Much???? ;D

Huh? Are you serious? OMG, I am sooooooo tired today.

Well, I will try.

I believe my last actual blog was on Sep 11....so, lets start with:

Sep 12:

Pretty much like any other Friday, to work by 8am, pick up the kids by 5, go home, to find my husband and his kids just getting home. Which was nice. Cook something, We watch TV for a while. Make sure the kids all get a bath...all FOUR of them...Get them to bed at a decent hour. Then go back to the TV and turn on the Weather Channel to check on Hurricane Ike, looming in the Gulf Of Mexico on a path straight for the Texas Coast. Go to bed, TRY to sleep...hmmmm. I dunno...

Sep 13:

The TV turns itself on at 610 am...lol. Well, it scared the shit out of me. Got up and changed it to the Weather Channel to check the status of the hurrican which has made landfall on Galveston Island at around 2:10 am, and had been on land for 4 hours already. Saturday was a very wet, windy day.. trees blowing to and fro in all different directions, rain changing its direction in front of your eyes. We got VERY lucky, alot of people lost power for days on end, we only had ours flicker twice about noon, and then it went out about 1130 pm for a total of 2 mins. The storm was headed straight up HWY 69 north, towards Tyler, and I live a block off of it. So needless to say, I was kind of anxious because we had all 4 kids there, we had heard a few transformers blow, thats a pretty eerie sound. The girls got scared, the boy laughed at them....thats pretty freakin' normal tho. Roughest weather we have had for a while...there were some trees uprooted in the area, but as far as I am aware, fairly minimal damage. The Lake Palestine area, is another story.

Sep 14:

MY BIRTHDAY!! No, not all that excited, I am 31 now, but I will continue to say 29 with 2 years experience until I am comfortable with it....lol My kiddos and husband left in the morning while I was asleep and got donut holes, donuts, and a birthday cake...they chose a big one...and had the lady at the bakery put Happy Birthday Greg and Chrystal on it. Because that way they wouldn't have to go buy one for his....Haha. The girls picked white roses off of the bush outside, because they know its my favorite flower, they made me homemade cards, (SOOOO SWEET) Greg bought me a card, that said something to the effect of, "just remember 2 things" "Happy Birthday, and I love you, Greg.....AWWWWWWW. My brother invited us over and made me a birthday dinner, bbq..yummy. I am going to have to scan his card, and edit this post so you can see what it looked like....he is freakin' silly but I love the hell out of him.

As far as the office on Sunday, we had some Red Cross reservations drop on us. OH JOY!!!! Well, yes and no anyway. After Katrina in '05, we had a crap load of fleet out to them, over half of my fleet. For like 3 mos. Excellent revenue, but...they only wrecked or damaged like a third of them....As of Sunday, we have done about 8 Red Cross rentals, and already have the windshield busted out of one of them and fender damage on it. OHH...I can't wait....I will be loading pics of that and editing them in here too....lol

Sep 15:

God I hate Mondays....especially knowing that alot of cars were still on rent and what Mondays reservations tend to run. I opened this day with like 2 cars that I could use. So needless to say, I was already going to be only having one car at the end of the night as of opening, so I had to pilfer some cars from our GGG office.. I pilfered 9 of them...and guess what? I had so many reservations add to me that.........

OH! BTW, Greg took me out for a birthday dinner at Carino's too!!! I love that place!

Sep 16:

I opened with only 2 cars again......Ya!!! Can you believe that shit???? The more cars I got the more we had less....haha....it's not all bad tho, good for utilization, but not good running my service agent ragged. Oh boy...every time she came in, I was having to tell her that we had add ons and eventually she told me to tell thim to quit that shit because she had had enough!!! Wish I could have, but unfortunately thats not my call and not the name of the game....Yanno? Also this day, someone everyone that works in the building had a dislike of, quit! YAY!!!!! And blamed everything that went wrong on someone else, because OMG, she can do no wrong, and don't accuse her because she is good at pulling stories straight out of her ass and making her manager believe that she was the best one for the job.....OY BOY did she have the wool pulled over her eyes, she thought this lady was her friend...and got stabbed straight in the back....

The funny thing is she was one of my employees first...but I didn't pull any punches with her. I didn't give in to all of the bull shit story...she still couldn't do simple things that required being done on a daily basis without calling me after 10 mos....and had the nerve to accuse me of stealing HER commission when she basically stuck her nose up at a customer and myself because she didn't want to do a manual contract one day when our system went down. Well it wasn't like she didn't know how to do them, because she did. So she just stood there looking at the customer like "DUH" I am not going to make a customer wait...I grabbed a pen and a contract....wrote all of the info in, asked if she wanted any additional coverage, which she took all of. Then asked her if she wanted the Fuel Service Option...which she also took. I called for authorization on the credit card and had our customer on her way in 5 minutes. You don't make a customer wait when they are your bread and butter. When the customer walked away from the counter I turned and looked at her...She at the top of her lungs said "I was going to do that!"....told her well...if you were going to, why didn't you hop to it...you were in no hurry to get started, I prefer my customers not have to wait...she actually suggested that I should put the rental in the computer under her number and give her credit for the commission...

UM...NO! I work hard for every extra penny I make..you didn't do the contract, you didn't ask the customer anything...I did all that. Didn't see you butting in asking me if you could take over...needless to say she quit me soon after, and wrote a scathing 5 page letter to my boss, telling him the exact opposite of everything that I did...And you see I am still doing my job 4 years later, my boss also saw thru her stinky smoke screen. She is yet again out of a job.

Oh well, sae lah vee! Wutev..... haha. Things are so much calmer here!

Sep 17:

Today is my Greg's Birthday....the big ol' 36. I love him so. He is the best thing that has happened to me besides my kids..even if he does tend to piss me off at times. Whats a relationship with out a little tension.. Hee Hee!

I had to work of course, but got out a lil bit early for a Dr's visit. Greg went with me...Well, she seems to think that I may have sleep apnea...oh, freakin lovely joy. Can't afford a sleep study tho. So. She also swithche around about half of my meds, so, that oughta take a bit of getting used to..

I love my doctor, she is young...well 36. Very attentive, a very soothing voice...very understanding. She walked in the room and what I saw first was a bulging belly...I said....OHHHHH I had no idea you were having a baby!!!!! She said, weren't you just in here last month? I said well, ya, but, you really weren't showing, or were hiding it very well...Greg asked her if it was her first child, she said well...yes, but there is 2 in there, looked at me and said "Yes, twins!!!!" I was all....Good Luck!

Greg liked her so much that he actually made an appt to get in with her. Weird thing was we were told that she wasn't taking any new patients, but she gave her permission. Greg had no problems telling me that my last Dr was a quack...well, I knew that but he was convenient....well, now, my doctors office is almost literally right across the street....haha! YAY!!

Sep 18:

What can I say....was a pretty ok day...as ok days go, weren't hurting as much for cars, day went by ok, and the next thing I know, I am in my truck, on the way to see my baby girls. They are soooooo freakin cute...I don't care what anyone says.

We spent the evening redecorating mum's for the homecoming pep rally, the football team is in a bigger district now, so they wanted to get the homecoming out of the way before the district games started. They usually don't do that until October sometime...Oh well, my kiddos talked me in to redecorating my oldest daughters mum from last year, which was quite big for her...(not for me tho...lol) and wearing it to the pep rally, we already worked out the details on that, I would work the night shift so I could go to the pep rally in the morning.

Sep 19:

So I wear this mum...I almost felt like an idiot but in the end I got used to it...my girls wanted me to wear it, so I should and that was that...

My Kayla Girl She is now a 5th grader!

My Sierra Bear.....in 3rd grade!

Momma & Sierra Bear (Look at those steel blue eyes!!)

I didn't get the chance to get a pic of Kayla and myself as she had to walk across the field and sit over on the other bleachers, maybe next time tho!

Now don't even get me started on the stupid teachers. I almost had the same issue with my youngest's teacher last year....telling me that my daughter couldn't come and sit with me...well...I told her to come to me, my daughter was taught to mind me, and mind me she did...to which her teacher actually came down and grabbed my daughter by the arm and proceeded to take her back up the bleachers. I am like "what do you think you are doing??" She says "she has to sit with her class, she came with us she is staying with us."

Ummm..EXCUSE ME??? I got ugly, I called her teacher down to me, and told her in a stern voice and in no uncertain terms that I drove all the way here to be here with her for this, and I was going to be damned if she thought that she was going to take that away from my daughter and I. Then asked her just exactly when the school district became my childs parent? To which she walked off and got the principal...and walked back over to me. Principal tells me, I am sorry Mrs. L....Sierra has to sit with her class...so I told her ok, if he has to sit with her class, then her teacher better make room for my big ass up there with her class, or she would be sitting with me like it or not. Then if you don't like it, tough, I will take her, walk over to the other side of the football field, get her sister from the intermediate school seats and we would all leave the grounds and neither one of them better be counted absent. I will be damned if someone is going to tell me where my child can be when I am present. After all, I am the parent.

Well, I started to get the same song and dance this morning to which I told her new teacher that she didn't want to go there with me, that it went there last year, I point blank said either you make room for me to sit with her and her class or we would be finding our own seats, like it or not. You can get the principal if you want to, but it would turn ugly yet once again. She told me if it turned out that there wasn't enough room for all the kids that I would have to move, and I told her, well, if there isn't enough room for the kids then neither my daughter or myself would be sitting there. So, just keep on pressing the issue. I know how to exercise my rights. Ain't afraid to go to the school board, or even further than that. Needless to say, she shut her mouth, made room for me and sat there with her and her class.

At some point while I was taking pictures of the events at the pep rally my daughter pinned her mum on my sleeve...didn't even realize it, so I ended up wearing 2 mums...lol Is ok tho...I was prolly one of the only moms that showed that much school spirit...

Afterwards I had to stop by the dealership to have a part that had been ordered for my truck installed, went to lunch with my husband, and then came to work.

While at work, I wait for a tow truck to bring one of my cars in as it is undriveable. Ya...Engine runs fine but you can't drive it, and I will show you why. So here goes!

And just who was it that we rented this car to?? Take at the pic below, there are 2 recognizable words on there....c'mon now, don't tell me that you can't figure it out!!!!!

Yeah! Whats even better is that the incident happened around noon and the lady that was driving said that she didn't see that the right side of the swing arm gate wasn't completely open. So either she was yakkin on the cell, or really not paying attention and going way the hell to fast, or like the tow driver said "This lady is old enough to fart dust!" So nice of that tow driver!!

No, It hasn't taken me 7 hours to write this, I got here at 2pm, and it is now 9:32 pm...I just happened to have got all of my paperwork done in a timely manner, I am only going to be here until 9:45 pm.

Although after the long day I have had I am so tired that I have called my husband to come pick me up from work, I am afraid that I could fall asleep on the way home. Better not to take that chance. I have enough trouble staying asleep at home...if I get quiet and still enough, I fall asleep anywhere, hence why my Dr things I may have sleep apnea...haha...

Ok, now that most of you have not made it thru reading every word of this "monster blog", I think I am going to close for the night.....and hopefully I won't go for another week before blogging again, for the reader's sake....lol

Have a wonderful weekend!!!!!!
